The workshop in brief:
This national workshop, “AI and Its Implementation at Universities,” aims to explore the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in higher education, with a focus on establishing a clear and practical AI policy for Tishk International University. The discussions will highlight how leading universities worldwide are managing AI use—defining ethical boundaries, academic integrity standards, and acceptable levels of AI involvement in teaching, learning, and research.
The workshop also seeks to provide practical guidance on how students and instructors can effectively and responsibly use AI tools to enhance learning outcomes, academic writing, and research productivity while maintaining ethical standards.
Objectives:
To discuss the need for ‘university-wide’ AI policy and propose a framework for its implementation.
To examine global university practices and ethical guidelines related to AI in education.
To identify appropriate ways students and teachers can use AI tools for academic benefit.
To raise awareness about responsible and transparent AI use in higher education.
