The workshop in brief:

addressed the current state of academic accreditation in Iraq, the challenges facing accreditation councils, and the opportunities available to enhance the quality of higher education and academic programs.

Participants: 15 attendees, including academic staff.

Place: Faculty of Law at Tishk International University

Session topics: 

• The first was delivered by Dr. Mohammed Abdulkarim Sharif and was entitled “Legal Guarantees for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Light of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), Iraqi Legislation, and
• The Legislation of the Kurdistan Region.” This was followed by a lecture by Dr. Surajo K. Suleiman entitled “The Concept of Disability, Its Spectrum, Characteristics, and Health Implications.”

Dr. Mohammed Abdulkarim Sharif lecturer, Faculty of Law at Tishk International University + Dr. Surajo K. Suleiman Faculty of Applied Sciences/Department of Physiotherapy

provided an effective platform for interdisciplinary academic dialogue and the exchange of scholarly expertise.
