The workshop in brief: Mechatronics Engineering Department at Tishk International University conducted an international workshop in collaboration with Kongu Engineering College – India on May 31, 2022, the workshop entitled as Arduino: IoT Applications. The workshop was divided into two sessions, the first session was presented by Dr. Priyanka E. B. from Kongu Engineering College – India, and the second session was presented by Dr. Rand Alhashimie from Mechatronics Engineering Department / TIU. Around 93 participates joined the workshop online and on-campus from different universities. The covered topics by the first session were: Introduction to IoT, with its fundamental and features, Arduino and It’s types , then end with an Introduction to Thing speak. While during the second session the covered topics were: IoT System Architecture, Applications of IoT system such as: Smart Home, E-Health System, Smart Agriculture and Smart City, and the requirements of IoT System including Sensors, Actuators, Controller and Platforms.
