The speakers of the workshop are:
Mr.Shuaib Abdulla TIUS & SU-Presenter
Dr.Pshtiwan Sahkor TIUS & SPU-Presenter
Dr.Nazim Abdul Nariman TIUS -Presenter Ilham Ibrahim TIUS- Moderator

Outcome of the workshop:

Here are the six outcomes of the workshop:
1. Increased knowledge of seismic activity: Participants will learn about the science behind earthquakes, including how they occur and the different types of seismic waves.

2. Understanding building codes: Participants will become familiar with local building codes and regulations related to earthquake-resistant construction.

3. Designing for safety: Participants will learn how to design buildings that prioritize safety during an earthquake, including strategies for minimizing damage and protecting occupants.

4. Material selection: Participants will gain knowledge about different materials that can be used in earthquake-resistant construction, such as reinforced concrete or steel frames.

5. Construction techniques: Participants will learn about construction techniques that can help improve a building’s ability to withstand earthquakes, such as base isolation or dampers.

6. Collaboration: The workshop may provide opportunities for architects, engineers, and builders to collaborate on projects and share ideas for improving earthquake-resistant design practices.
