The Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department is pleased to announce a workshop focused on advancements in drilling technologies. The goal of this seminar is to provide students and faculty members with valuable insights into the latest deviating and surveying technologies used in directional drilling.

The first session will focus on tools used for wellbore deflection. The presenter will share extensive knowledge and experiences about state-of-the-art technologies for deflecting oil and gas wells away from vertical.

The second session will focus on the surveying technologies used to monitor the directional drilling process. The presenter will discuss the evolution of surveying methods, from earlier concepts to current technologies that enable real-time monitoring and steering of the drill bit through the formation
