During the workshop attendees were discussed the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 interconnected global goals adopted by UN member states in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by 2030. Human rights are integrated throughout the SDGs, as they are seen as essential for sustainable development. While human rights are not explicitly listed as a separate goal, they are woven into various aspects of the SDGs
