The workshop in brief: Sinus lift surgery is a treatment approach oral surgeons may recommend when a patient desires dental implants but there is not enough jaw bone to secure the implant.
Objectives:

. To enable the participants to be familiar with sinus lifting procedures and how to approach the surgery.

. To enable the participants to be familiar with the possible dental implant complications ·

. To enable the participants to treat the complications of implant surgery.

. To enable the participants to perform dental implant surgery safely·

Participants: 103 participants from the academic staff of Dentistry Faculty-TIU and outside dentists participated in the workshop.

Place: Dentistry Faculty building | Tishk International University – Erbil

Session topics: 
• First Session: A theoretical session with a live demonstration of the dental implant procedure.
• Second Session: Hands-on dental implantology.

Outcome of the workshop:
The workshop simplified the principles of dental implant surgery while explaining the technique’s advantages, disadvantages, indications, and contraindications of dental implants, and enabled the participants to do the surgery in a practical way.
