The workshop in brief: Intraoral scanners offer a uniquely smooth scanning experience. With integrated colour scanning and accuracy down to the micron level, they are ideal for capturing digital impressions – from a single tooth to a full arch.
Objectives
. To enable the participants to be familiar with Intraoral Scanner and its software.
. To enable the participants to use intraoral scanner properly in a scientific way.
· To enable the participants to understand the contribution of intraoral scanners in the quality of different dental fields such as Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Conservative, etc,.
· To enable the participants to understand how to get the desired results through shade selection.
· To enable the participants to debate clinical cases.
Participants: 120 participants from academic staff of Dentistry Faculty-TIU and outside dentists participated in the workshop.
Place: Dentistry Faculty building | Tishk International University – Erbil
• First Session: Introducing and discussing the basis of the intraoral Scanner with a live demonstration.
• Second Session: Hands-on training on Intraoral Scanner.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Arass Jalal Noori (Ph.D. at POP Department, Dentistry Faculty, Suleymani University.
The workshop simplified the principles of using intraoral scanners, while explaining the advantages, disadvantages, indications, and contraindications of the system and enabled the participants to manipulate the scanner in a practical way.
