The workshop in brief:
As part of departmental activities on SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through education, The Biology Education Department of Tishk international University in collaboration with Takvin Organization organized the workshop entitled ” Multidisciplinary Approaches to Understanding the Development and Treatment of Cancer “.
The targeted objectives were as follow:
• Promote multidisciplinary understanding on how environmental, physical, and biological factors contribute to cancer development and progression.
• Highlight Innovations and showcase advancements in cancer diagnosis, treatment, and prevention through interdisciplinary approaches.
• Foster collaboration and encourage cross-disciplinary partnerships to develop holistic cancer research and therapy strategies.
• Raise awareness and education of risks on carcinogenic agents, risk factors, and preventive strategies to reduce cancer incidence.
• Creating a platform where clinicians, researchers, and other professionals can share insights, discuss challenges, and explore new therapeutic and prevention strategies.
