Discussion about the scientific inter-relation between the lecturer and students. The workshop was oriented to staff of the faculty. he term student-centered learning refers to a wide variety of educational programs, learning experiences, instructional approaches, and academic-support strategies that are intended to address the distinct learning needs, interests, aspirations, or cultural backgrounds of individual students and groups of students.
Number of participants: 30, staff from different departments (ELT, Civil Engineering, Geometic and surveying Engineering, IT department, QA, Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Interior Design Engineering).
Place: TIU, Hall 325
- First Session: introducing the SCL to the audiences.
- Second Session: class activity and an open discussion period for guests.

With this workshop, it was intended to help our staff to have a better understanding and get more familiar with the SCL approach which is proposed to be widely implemented in Kurdistan. At the end of the workshop, an open discussion period was available for guests to more enrich their knowledge in this area and how can be implemented here in KRG. It was obvious that most of the audiences were in the opinion that it can partially be applied during the lectures.
