Department: Interior Design
The workshop in brief:
This workshop is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and the realities of the professional world for interior design and architecture students. It offers a candid look into the challenges and opportunities fresh graduates will encounter as they enter the field. Through real-life stories, open discussions, and an interactive site-based scenario, students will gain insight into the dynamics of the job market, client communication, project management, and on-site problem-solving. The goal is to prepare students mentally and practically for the transition from university to the workplace. Objectives: 1. To highlight the key differences between academic projects and real-world design challenges. 2. To provide students with firsthand insights into the post-graduation experience of working interior designers and architects. 3. To explore the advantages and disadvantages of working in the field, including career paths, market trends, and client expectations. 4. To simulate a real-world problem-solving scenario to enhance students’ critical thinking and decision-making skills on-site
