The workshop in brief: The department of Interior Design at Tishk International University organized an international seminar entitled “The City as a Challenge: Istanbul after the Ottoman Conquest of 1453” by: Prof. Dr. Barbara Henning, History Department: History of the Eastern Mediterranean Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, Germany and Dr. Omar Abdulwahhab Khalaf – Tishk International University — Erbil The objectives of this workshop as part of the collaboration with German universities as well as introducing the city structure of Istanbul post ottoman era. Students from both architecture and interior design involved in this workshop and they had discussed a lot of important issues.
Participants: 40 participated in the workshop.
