The workshop in brief : Importance of the Laser scanner instrument in the field of surveying, types of the instruments and their roles, methods of measuring the data, applications of the laser scanners, and factor affected on the accuracy of the data. Importance of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for mountain area, the accuracy of measuring the data, difference between the DJI camera and laser data in the forest area, and the problems faced during measuring the data UAV – based Lidar Topographic Survey in Mines is a new methodology for application of the principles of UAV photogrammetry in the field of mining surveying to show the state of art, and calculation of quantities removed, and to document further activities at site. The aim of the workshop was to present all these concepts and enable participants to grasp sufficient knowledge.
