- The workshop featured presentations by esteemed Chief of Prosthetic department at Tishk International University. Their expertise provided valuable insights into the importance of dental lab. Procedure stepsObjectives:
- Learn about materials like zirconia and ceramic in a simple way.
- how design (CAD), machines (milling), and heat (furnaces) are used in making dental restorations.
- Understand how math and precision are important in creating crowns.
Participants: 25 attendees, including academic staff and 5th grade students.
Place: Faculty of Dentistry and Rhodium lab.
Session topics:
The workshop was divided into two sessions:
A theoretical session and a hands-on session. The theoretical session covered key concepts, including knowledge of impression materials and model pouring techniques, die preparation, and wax pattern fabrication based on tooth morphology.
The hands-on session provided participants with a scientific and practical environment, allowing them to see various devices and manipulate the most recent materials used in crown and bridge fabrication, gaining a deeper understanding of their real-world applications.

The workshop provided participants with hands-on experience in the complete laboratory process of crown and bridge fabrication, enhancing their practical skills and technical knowledge. By the end of the session, participants gained greater confidence in producing high-quality, functional, and esthetically pleasing fixed prostheses in a laboratory setting.
