The workshop in brief:

Engineering education was affected by several lockdowns during the pandemic in years 2020 and 2021. Educators were not ready for the unique situation that they didn’t face the same case before. They had to adapt their teaching methodology as well as their lifestyle according to this new case.

This workshop aims to review the situation and education performance of our staff with a perspective of their opinion and student feedback and to prepare a report that will help future development in engineering education.

Participants: Head of (7) departments and (14) lecturers from all departments. Total 21 participants.

Session 1:

 Dr.Halit Vural-TIU; Introduction to distance learning in the engineering field.

Musa Ameen-TIU; Advantages, disadvantages, and limitations of Online education in Engineering faculty.

Session 2:

Mr. Haval Sami- TIU; Techniques and tools for online teaching in engineering faculty.

Outcome of the workshop:

Participants got familiar with various techniques and tools that they can utilize for online teaching as well as the limitations and ways of developing online teaching process in the faculty.
