The workshop in brief: The purpose of the symposium was to celebrate the anniversary of the universal declaration of human rights and to assess the situation of human rights in the Kurdistan Region. Further to this, the event aimed to raise awareness about timely and critical human rights issues in Iraq and to contribute to promoting Human Rights in Kurdistan.

Outcome of the workshop:

The speakers highlighted the importance of the implementation of the law, and rights of minorities in the Kurdistan Region, how they have been mentioned in the Iraqi constitution. Moreover, the right to reach information in the region and explaining the rights of obtaining information in the Iraqi constitution. And explaining how these rights are developed and the extent of their implementation in the Kurdistan Region.
