Type of the workshop: National workshop

The workshop in brief: The Faculty of Pharmacy, Tishk International University organized 1st national Workshop on 27th October 2022 in title Islamic Medicine. The aim of national workshop is to introduce the important of the Quran and prophet advice (pbh) in the field of medical research. Moreover, through presenting 3 presentation, attendance would be familiar with the new research that have been based on the Ismaic medicine.

Participants: 150 participated in the workshop.

Session topics:

-First sessions topics: (presentation) – importance of prevention in Islam – the entrance of medical sciences in Islam – Prophetic Sleep Routine as Medicine

-Second sessions topics (poster presentation) – Chemical structure and medical advantages of 5 different foods that used in the Islamic Medicine.

2. Dr. Othman Mohammed Gharib, Lecturer at the University of Salahaddin, College of Islamic Sciences
3. Dr. Rozhan Arif, Lecturer at Tishk International University, Pharmacy Department.

Outcome of the workshop:
And the aim of this workshop can be summarized in the three main points which are:
· Educating the society and warning them about the misunderstanding surrounding Islamic medicine, and putting a stop to malpracticing by suggesting methods and procedures for eliminating this dangerous phenomenon.
· Presenting many researches and reviews conducted by scholars and researchers with reliance on holy Quran and Sunnah.
· Explaining the true academic methods for conducting research on Quran and Sunnah and observing their correlations with science, this aim can be achieved by seminars about how to plan to study and do research based on facts from Quran and Sunnah.
