The workshop in brief:

It is vital and essential to make everyone aware of the basic methods they should apply after an accident occurs. We have hearing every day’s accident in the streets, and public sectors, especially in the school, because of their developmental stage, and their behavior, they facing health problems, drawling, injuries, wounds, bleeding. Teachers with good knowledge, and sufficient practices of the first aid are likely to be more alert and active, eligible in dealing with the situations occurs. They make sure they are not vulnerable to any accident or injuries. First aid promotes the sense of safety; they have capability in dealing with disasters.

The workshop aimed to:

  • increase the teacher’s knowledge and practices regarding dealing with the first aid and the incidences
  • raise awareness regarding emergency situation.
  • give knowledge about how to manage the victims in emergency situations especially children.
  • show skills about first aid and how to do it in an effective and correct way.

63 participants (staff and school teachers)

Date and time:  January 22-27, 2020 – Feburary 07, 2020.
Place: Ronaki Kindergarten, Ronaki Boys Secondary School, Kara Institute.

Session topics: 

Day 1: On the 22nd of January 2021, Roanki Kindergarten was visited by presenter all the basic principles of first aid were explained and illustrated for the participants, question was answered and justification regarding first aid were made.

 Day 2: 27th of January 2021 Ronaki Boys Secondary School was visited by presenter all the basic principles of first aid were explained and illustrated for the participants, question was answered and justification regarding first aid were made.

Day 3: 7th of February 2021 Kara Institute was visited by presenter all the basic principles of first aid were explained and illustrated for the participants, question was answered and justification regarding first aid were made.

Outcome of the workshop:

At the end of the workshop, the students will

  1. Acquire knowledge regarding first aid.
  2. Increase their knowledge about physical trauma.
  3. Develop their practice regarding the first aid process.
  4. Enhance critical thinking and behavioral manner during accident.
