The workshop in brief: This national workshop on “Computer Technologies and teaching methodologies in computer education” endeavors to getter computer professionals, computer specialists, and teaching staff of universities and schools to put computer education under discussion according to the both technical and pedagogical perspectives. The workshop, therefore, hopes to achieve the following objectives: 1- To show computer education students both sides of their future carrier, technical and educational sides. Show their different perspectives and the challenges of them, so an overview will be created for the students about their future carrier. 2- By listing to the different people, like experts and fresh graduates of the field which some of them are working in technical part and others working in the educational part. The students will get different ideas and both sides of their field will be clear for them

Outcome of the workshop:

1- Participants will be able to understand the strategies of self-development by self-directed learning both during their studies and in the center of education.

2- Participants will be provided with some real teaching and learning experiences from the one who is at the core of education.

3- Participants will understand possible roles the department can take place as a factory that produces teachers for the future.

4- Participants will realize the contributions of university education to those who work in the field as TIU graduates, and they also will understand the importance of content knowledge with an effective way of teaching by hearing real examples from experienced panelists.

5- Participants will be able to have an overview about the technical part about their carrier, and how the environment of working is as a technician or computer professionals.
