The workshop in brief:

  • The objective of the workshop is to create awareness of digital financial transactions.
  • In the region of Kurdistan how Nasswallet is created to provide greater financial access to the people of Iraq to make the leap from cash to a cashless society. NassWallet is a digital bank that is made for a new era providing services such as money transfer, business services, merchant payment, salary and bulk disbursement, bill payment, loyalty, and rewards with its own Mastercard among other services.

This workshop covered a general insight of Iraq’s banking and financial, available Payment service providers, payment methods, issues, and challenges in banking. Furthermore, the participants learned about financial services, financial inclusion, role and responsibilities of the central bank, and mobile money payment service providers.
