The workshop in brief:
Sustainable Development Goals 1, 12 and 13 share a unified flow
exemplified in a common theme which touches on efficient
production through energy transition in a more resilient
environment. In this workshop our emphasis is on innovation
with sustainable material in aviation and the promotion of
harmony with nature as a way forward for sustainable
engineering conception to design to production and operation
Objectives: – Shifting from just reducing harm to creating positive
environmental impact through materials that “flow”
within a circular economy – Introducing mindfulness and physical awareness
techniques (grounding/centering) for aviation
professionals to enhance personal well-being, while
maintaining the safety standards. – Empowering the ability to adopt an approach to
sustainable practices based on ICAO sustainability
training for mapping technical progress in structural
materials (3D printing, lighter composites) to
social/organizational well-being
Participants:
12 students and lecturers
Place: Tishk International University Main Building – Room 124
Session topics:
Session one – Sustainable Aviation Materials
Session two – Lessons from Aikido for Sustainable
Engineering
presenters
– Mr. Ahmed Ameer – Aviation Eng. Dept. – TIU
– Dr. Soorkeu A Atrooshi – Aviation Engineering Dept.– TI
To enable participants to perceive and apply the principles
of blending and harmony to aircraft structural design by
prioritizing lightweight, or recyclable materials.
Preparing for managing high-stress environments by staying
calm and centered
Using the principle of non-resistance for collaborative
teamwork and streamline, eco-friendly operation
