The workshop in brief:

International Relations Office (IRO) organized a workshop in collaboration of representative of Freiberg University Dr. Abdulqader Qadw on February 14, 2019. “Renewable Energy Utilization” was the title of the workshop which have been held in the faculty of engineering at Tishk International University. Prof. Dr. ING Habil Gerd Walter faculty member in the Freiberg University, Germany was the presenter of the workshop. Both Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, President, and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş, Director of IRO, participated in the workshop.

The importance of utilizing renewable energy sources also need of sustainable energy system and also he discussed the P2G technologies and its impact on the city. 35 staff and students participated in the workshop.

Dr. Gerd highlighted the contents which consist of technology for water and space heating, solar-thermal power plant, photovoltaic electricity generation, wind energy utilization, a futures hydrogen-based energy system.

As a conclusion he suggested that we have to take actions for saving energy and need for more green energy he insisted that the first step is saving of energy, the second order is the use of renewable energy. In the end, Dr. Idris Hadi presented an appreciation award plaque.
