The workshop in brief:

Abstract and Objectives:

Cancer remains a major global health challenge involving complex and diverse processes influenced by genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. It is characterized by uncontrolled cell growth, tissue invasion, and possible metastasis, affecting millions worldwide despite advances in diagnosis, nutrition, and imaging.

In line with World Cancer Day 2026 – “United by Unique,” this national workshop brings together experts from medical analysis, nutrition, and radiology to highlight individualized cancer experiences while promoting a shared responsibility in combating the disease.

The workshop aims to raise awareness, support cancer patients, and emphasize the importance of early diagnosis, proper nutrition, advanced imaging, and interdisciplinary collaboration in improving outcomes.

Key objectives include enhancing understanding of cancer pathology, promoting integrated healthcare approaches, strengthening research collaboration, and encouraging compassionate, patient-centered cancer care.

Participants included academic staff, specialists, and students from the fields of medical analysis, nutrition and dietetics, and medical technical radiology

Outcome of the workshop:

The workshop increased awareness of cancer prevention, early diagnosis, and patient-centered care. It improved understanding of cancer pathology and the roles of nutrition and imaging, while strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration and encouraging future research and engagement.
