This workshop sessions cover two interconnected topics. The first, “AI in Medical Application,” provides an overview of how artificial intelligence is transforming healthcare through medical imaging, diagnosis support, and patient monitoring. The second, “Listening to the Data: NLP Techniques for Mental Health Detection and Public Well-being,” focuses on using Natural Language Processing to analyze text and speech for early signs of mental distress, such as depression or anxiety. Objective: The objective of this workshop is to introduce participants to AI-driven medical applications and NLP-based mental health detection, with emphasis on culturally appropriate approaches. It aims to raise awareness of early detection possibilities and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration to develop locally relevant solutions for prevention and care.

Outcome of the workshop:

The outcome of the workshop was: increased awareness and understanding of AI applications in healthcare and the use of NLP for early mental health detection, along with encouraging participants to explore culturally relevant and interdisciplinary solutions.
