The workshop in brief:
As part of the academic and research development activities of the Biology Education Department at Tishk International University, the department organized the international workshop entitled “From Manuscript Scientific Writing to Acceptance and the Strategies to Avoid Desk Rejection.” The workshop focused on enhancing researchers’ scientific writing skills, improving manuscript preparation, understanding journal selection strategies, and guiding researchers through the peer-review and publication process. The targeted objectives were as follows: • Improve participants’ understanding of scientific manuscript structure and academic writing standards. • Provide practical guidance on preparing impactful titles, abstracts, and publishable manuscripts. • Enhance researchers’ awareness of journal selection and strategic manuscript submission. • Explain common causes of desk rejection and effective strategies to avoid them. • Support researchers in understanding peer-review comments and responding professionally after rejection. • Encourage academic collaboration and promote high-quality international scientific publication.
