The workshop in brief:
The workshop featured a series of educational lectures and expert-led discussions addressing key aspects of diabetes management, including early screening and diagnosis, kidney complications, vision health, and cardiovascular risks. Participants also benefited from an interactive panel discussion focusing on lifestyle, prevention, and the future of multidisciplinary research in diabetes.
The targeted objectives were as follows:
- To enhance participants’ understanding of the biological, clinical, and lifestyle factors involved in the development of diabetes.
- To promote multidisciplinary collaboration among healthcare professionals, researchers, and educators in diabetes prevention and management.
- To discuss current and emerging treatment strategies, including pharmacological, nutritional, and behavioral interventions.
- To strengthen evidence-based approaches for improving patient outcomes and quality of life in diabetes care.
Participants: 90 staff participants.

Based on the presentations and active discussion which have been done during the workshop the participants got the ability to:
- Participants enhanced their understanding of diabetes development, screening, and registration practices at the national level.
- The workshop strengthened knowledge of major diabetes-related complications, including nephropathy, vision impairment, and cardiovascular diseases.
- Attendees gained insights into multidisciplinary clinical management approaches for diabetes from medical specialists across fields.
- The panel discussion promoted awareness of the role of lifestyle, prevention, and collaborative research in future diabetes management strategies.
- The event fostered collaboration and dialogue among healthcare professionals, educators, students, and the community to improve diabetes care and awareness.
